Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Sales/Catering Coordinator to support clerical and administrative tasks, prepare marketing materials, and assist in the efficient operation of the Sales/Catering team. The role emphasizes attentive, friendly service to guests while maintaining accuracy in contracts and event orders.

The position requires strong computer skills, clear communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• College course work in related field helpful.
• Computer knowledge/skills required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and email messages and respond accordingly.
• Maintain and stay abreast of the latest computer programs/innovations.
• Prepare BEOs and assist in daily office operations.
• Review sales contracts and coordinate with clients and departments.
• Monitor deadlines related to group rooms, deposits, and function requirements.
• Ensure proper invoicing, billing and payment procedures.
• Participate in weekly Sales/Operations/BEO meetings and trainings.
• Obtain rooming list details and validate reservations ahead of arrival.
