Job summary

Hilton New Orleans/St. Charles Avenue is seeking a Security Officer to patrol the Garden District property, monitor cameras and alarms, and respond to incidents with professionalism. You’ll escort guests when needed, enforce policies, and document actions in detailed reports.

The role requires calm decision-making in high-stress situations, strong observation skills, and a customer-service mindset aligned with hospitality standards. On-site safety duties ensure guest and team safety.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the hotel, including guest floors, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and parking lots.
• Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and access control points.
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergency situations and document all actions taken.
• Assist guests and employees with safety-related concerns or escorts upon request.
• Enforce hotel policies while maintaining professionalism and hospitality.
• Complete detailed incident and shift reports.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary.
• Conduct routine safety inspections (fire extinguishers, doors, lighting, etc.).
• Support loss prevention efforts and investigate theft or suspicious activity.
• Participate in safety drills and ongoing training sessions.
• Provide emergency first aid or CPR if certified and needed.
