Job Responsibilities

1. Cleans and services guest rooms according to hotel standards, self-inspecting and double-checking.
2. Notifies supervisor when service is complete to facilitate room occupancy.
3. Reports rooms that cannot be serviced within established time standards.
4. Reports needs for repairs or missing equipment to supervisor.
5. Maintains linen carts and supply areas in a neat and organized manner, reporting shortages.
6. Secures equipment, keys, and supplies at all times.
7. Reports lost and found items immediately.
8. Maintains productivity levels, aiming for no more than 30 minutes per room.
9. Follows procedures for team cleaning and self-inspection programs.
10. Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests.
11. Follows all policies, procedures, and safety standards, including emergency and chemical handling protocols.
12. Maintains a professional appearance and participates in hotel meetings and training.
13. Protects hotel assets and maintains security of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Ability to follow verbal instructions and organize work efficiently.
2. Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
3. Strong hospitality skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
4. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including stooping, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 200 pounds.
5. Good communication skills for guest and staff interactions.
6. Ability to recognize safety hazards and report them.
7. Work environment includes varying noise levels.
