Job Responsibilities
- Cleans and services guest rooms according to hotel standards, self-inspecting and double-checking.
- Notifies supervisor when service is complete to facilitate room occupancy.
- Reports rooms that cannot be serviced within established time standards.
- Reports needs for repairs or missing equipment to supervisor.
- Maintains linen carts and supply areas in a neat and organized manner, reporting shortages.
- Secures equipment, keys, and supplies at all times.
- Reports lost and found items immediately.
- Maintains productivity levels, aiming for no more than 30 minutes per room.
- Follows procedures for team cleaning and self-inspection programs.
- Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests.
- Follows all policies, procedures, and safety standards, including emergency and chemical handling protocols.
- Maintains a professional appearance and participates in hotel meetings and training.
- Protects hotel assets and maintains security of equipment and supplies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and organize work efficiently.
- Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
- Strong hospitality skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including stooping, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 200 pounds.
- Good communication skills for guest and staff interactions.
- Ability to recognize safety hazards and report them.
- Work environment includes varying noise levels.
