Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a friendly, service-oriented server to provide exceptional guest experiences in a Brooklyn hotel restaurant. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, and work with the kitchen and bar to ensure accurate, timely service.

The role requires a professional appearance, teamwork, and solid knowledge of food and beverage service. You will handle POS tasks, upsell specials, and maintain compliance with policies and liquor laws.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Be a team player and willing to pitch in with colleagues.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards and guest relations.
• Know how to set and present table settings and menu items.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items; accuracy with orders.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests politely and explain specials or promotions as appropriate.
• Record order details and confirm accuracy with guests.
• Input orders into POS and communicate with kitchen staff.
• Deliver completed orders to guests with proper condiments.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate liquor laws.
