Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Manhattan's Times Square is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver high-quality service to guests in a courteous and efficient manner. You will take orders, deliver food and beverages, and handle payments.

Candidates should be able to stand for long shifts, lift light to moderate loads, and communicate clearly with guests and colleagues. Training and a friendly team atmosphere are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours may be required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and move objects.
• Effective verbal and written communication with guests and staff.
• Able to multitask and prioritize duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Receive and deliver guest orders and process payments.
• Be familiar with menus and current specials.
• Operate the POS system and balance checks at shift end.
• Upsell food and beverages to guests.
• Maintain clean and stocked tables and dining area.
