Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is seeking an Accounting/Receiving Associate for Crowne Plaza Guam in Tamuning. The role covers receiving goods, purchasing controls, and ensuring accurate inventory and financial records at a full-time, hourly rate.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in accounting or receiving, SAP experience preferred, strong Excel/Outlook skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Accounting or Receiving (work experience)
• SAP experience preferred
• Strong math skills including budgeting, P/L concepts, percentages and variances
• Problem solving and reasoning abilities
• Experience with spreadsheets and financial reporting systems
• May work nights, weekends or holidays
• Strong communication with colleagues and leadership
• MS Outlook and MS Excel proficiency
• Experience with property management and POS systems
• Budget balancing and understanding financial impact
• Ability to analyze financial data and present clearly
• Strong ethics and integrity in financial practices
• Fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving goods and control of purchasing systems
• Ensure cost-effective contracting and timely availability of materials/services
• Receipt and verify deliveries against invoices
• Organize and store shipments and notify management when stock is low
• Coordinate with departments to receive products
• Maintain internal purchasing controls and purchase orders
• Manage vendor invoices and month-end inventory close
• Support month-end closing processes
• Ensure safe and organized work areas
• Communicate purchasing policies and procedures
