Job summary

Hyatt Regency Portland is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to oversee hotel purchasing, receiving and inventory operations. The role reports to the Director of Purchasing and ensures compliance with brand standards and purchasing guidelines.

You will manage daily purchasing, verify deliveries, rotate stock, and maintain clean storerooms and loading areas while supporting all hotel departments. This is an hourly, full-time position based in Portland, Oregon.

Qualifications

• Fast-paced hospitality environment experience to satisfy guests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily purchasing and receiving functions for the hotel.
• Order food, beverage, operating supplies, and other products to meet operational needs.
• Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries for quality, quantity, and accuracy.
• Check in and distribute guest packages and internal deliveries promptly.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical inventory counts.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of storerooms and related areas.
• Coordinate outgoing shipments and package deliveries.
• Work with department leaders to fulfill purchasing requests and resolve supply issues.
