Job summary

Omni Shoreham Hotel seeks a Purchasing Manager to support the Director of Purchasing in acquiring food, beverage, and non-perishable items at optimal economics based on activity. Serve as liaison between the resort and supplier representatives to meet department objectives.

You will supervise storeroom staff, coordinate with storeroom and culinary teams, and participate in meetings to align menus with par inventories and outlet needs while managing training and vendor performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as storeroom attendant in a high volume, upscale hotel.
• Experience coordinating food and beverage supply needs.
• Familiarity with purchasing bid procedures and vendor evaluation.
• Proficient in using purchasing software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the Purchasing/Receiving hourly staff.
• Coordinate storeroom activities for food and beverage requirements.
• Attend food and beverage meetings and forecast reviews.
• Maintain communications with chefs and catering on inventory and menus.
• Oversee training for subordinates on purchasing processes and applications.
