SHERATON MIAMI AIRPORT HOTEL is seeking a Houseman to support housekeeping operations by maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked guest and public areas, ensuring a positive guest experience. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, the role emphasizes a strong work ethic and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

The position involves delivering linens and supplies, assisting Room Attendants, and reporting maintenance issues while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience in housekeeping or related hotel operations.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Professional, friendly demeanor with guests and staff; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas (lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairs, staff areas).
Deliver clean linens, towels, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to guest floors and storage areas.
Collect and transport soiled linens, trash, and recyclables to designated disposal areas.
Restock housekeeping closets and ensure supplies are readily available for Room Attendants.
Assist Room Attendants with cleaning projects, room setups, and heavy lifting as needed.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damaged items to the appropriate department.
Follow established cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and all health and safety regulations.
Provide prompt and courteous service when responding to guest requests.
May require standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
