Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Durango is seeking a detail-oriented, guest-focused Houseman to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas at our Durango, Colorado hotel. You will follow checklists, make beds, dust, vacuum, and replenish amenities.

You will interact with guests professionally, manage time, report maintenance issues, monitor supplies, and contribute to a welcoming, high-standard environment. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals!
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Thorough Cleaning: Meticulously clean and prepare guest rooms and common areas per high standards and checklists; beds made, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms sanitized, amenities replenished.
• Guest Interaction: Politely and professionally interact with guests, responding to requests and inquiries in a timely and helpful manner.
• Efficient Time Management: Work efficiently to complete tasks within timeframes; ensure rooms are ready for new arrivals promptly.
• Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and guest room amenities.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.50-$18.50 per hour
Sundays $1 extra per hour

• * Thorough Cleaning: Meticulously clean and prepare guest rooms and common areas in accordance with our high standards and established checklists. This includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms, and replenishing amenities.
• * Guest Interaction: Politely and professionally interact with guests, responding to requests and inquiries in a timely and helpful manner to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
• * Efficient Time Management: Work efficiently and manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes, ensuring rooms are ready for new arrivals promptly.
• * Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards in guest rooms or public areas.
• * Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and guest room amenities.

• * Competitive Starting Pay: Earn a competitive hourly wage starting at $17.00-$19.00, based on experience.
• * Sunday Pay Differential: Receive an additional $1.00 per hour for all hours worked on Sundays during the summer months.
