Job summary

InTown Suites is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to perform daily upkeep and preventative maintenance across the property in Matthews, NC. The role requires living on-site during employment and being on-call for emergencies, with duties spanning room repairs, facility maintenance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include routine grounds care, interior upkeep, and timely response to service requests, ensuring guest rooms and corridors are well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Reads, speaks, writes and understands English to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and safe wiring practices.
• General maintenance skills across building and equipment.
• Troubleshooting devices and identifying needs and parts.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily upkeep of property and preventative maintenance on hotel property and equipment.
• Respond to emergency calls promptly and coordinate with supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of grounds, walkways and interiors.
• Repair and restore rooms, appliances, furniture, carpet and cabinets as needed.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms.
• Operate and use hand and power tools safely for repairs.
