Job summary

WoodSpring Suites Smyrna La Vergne in Smyrna, TN is seeking a skilled maintenance person for full-time on-site work at $22/hour with full-time benefits at 60 days. The role involves electrical, plumbing, HVAC tasks and general upkeep to ensure guest satisfaction and code compliance.

Responsibilities include room inspections, repairs, equipment maintenance, and record-keeping. A valid driver's license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance engineer or in a similar role.
• Skilled in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Conduct room checkout procedures (strip room, remove trash, PM room).
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps as well as preventative maintenance on units.
• Trace and repair all types of water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
• Notifies General Manager of any major repairs or equipment needs
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
