Job summary

The Courtyard Chicago Midway Airport is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Bedford Park. You will perform proactive repairs and routine upkeep across hotel systems, from lighting and carpentry to plumbing and HVAC, to ensure guest comfort and safety.

As a frontline problem-solver, you’ll respond to work orders, collaborate with the team, and help maintain guest rooms, public areas, and equipment. A strong attention to detail and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state (property specific).
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) (property specific).

Responsibilities

• Fix-It Pro: maintain and repair fixtures, lighting, furniture, and walls to keep facilities in top condition.
• Equipment Whisperer: service ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry gear, HVAC, pool and spa equipment.
• Safety Hero: respond to alarms, identify causes, report findings to Front Desk for guest safety.
• Trusted Access: handle sensitive areas and keys with integrity and security.
• Guest Connection: interact with guests and colleagues professionally, drive safely when needed.
