Job summary

Sleep Inn Midway Airport in Bedford Park, IL seeks a Preventative Maintenance Engineer to keep hotel facilities in top condition. You will perform repairs across carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical tasks, respond to work orders, and assist guests as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment like ice machines, refrigerators, and pool systems, ensuring safety, and handling access to secure areas with integrity. A valid driver’s license is required for property duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state (property specific).
• MVR acceptable (property specific).

Responsibilities

• Fix-It Pro: perform preventative maintenance from bulbs to furniture repairs.
• Equipment Whisperer: service ice machines, refrigeration, kitchen gadgets, laundry gear, HVAC, pool and spa equipment.
• Safety Hero: respond to alarms, investigate causes, report findings to Front Desk.
• Trusted Access: handle sensitive areas and information with integrity.
• Guest Connection: interact with guests and colleagues professionally and drive safely when needed.
