Job summary

Le Méridien Houston Downtown is seeking a Property People Support Manager to lead HR functions for the hotel and its staff, including recruitment, training and development, benefits administration, and employee relations. You will work with hotel managers to hire and coach associates, ensure brand standards, and collaborate with central teams on benefits and payroll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
• 3-5+ years previous Human Resources experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hotel managers to hire, train, schedule, coach and support associates per brand/hotel standards and HHM core values.
• Manage talent acquisition activities: post jobs, source candidates, interview and select qualified candidates.
• Coordinate with HHM central People Support teams to communicate and administer benefits, compensation, leave, training and employee relations at the property.
• Onboard new hires and process terminations in line with standards and laws.
• Handle employee relations to foster a positive work culture, fairness, and issue resolution.
• Develop and implement training programs to meet brand standards.
• Foster a culture recognizing good performance and celebrate a diverse workforce.
• Adhere to EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Assist with HRIS and Payroll system operations to ensure timely pay periods.
• Maintain safe work habits and comply with MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
