Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Key West offers a Hotel Operations Intern program for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on exposure across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales, Finance and Human Resources. You will work with hotel leaders, rotating through departments to understand guest experience, associate engagement, financial performance, and overall success of the hotel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed hospitality, business, tourism, or related degree.
• Strong interest in hotel operations and leadership.
• Previous customer service/food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and HR.
• Shadow department leaders to learn procedures and service standards.
• Assist with front desk operations and guest requests.
• Support housekeeping with inspections and inventory.
• Assist F&B teams with restaurant, banquet, and events.
• Learn engineering support for guest satisfaction and safety.
• Attend operational meetings and leadership check-ins.
• Support projects related to guest satisfaction and efficiency.
• Review performance indicators and assist with scheduling and reporting.
• Demonstrate warm, professional service attitude.
