Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites Suncoast Parkway seeks a flexible, guest-focused associate to support front desk operations. The role involves processing reservations, check-ins/outs, and coordinating guest needs while assisting with basic accounting tasks and nightly reconciliations.

You will greet guests professionally, handle inquiries, and ensure service requests are completed with courtesy and efficiency. Previous hospitality experience is a plus; flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile all credit card transactions, financial records, occupancy percentages, room charges, final bill preparation, and cash drawer activity after a thorough audit process.
  • Process additional administrative, bookkeeping, and accounting procedures as required.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to general manager, department heads, and hotel management.
  • Respond to inquiries, process reservations and check-ins, delegate housekeeping, security, and service requests as needed.
  • Greet all guests, vendors, and visitors professionally, and with a smile.
  • Process guest check-in and check-out in accordance with hotel policy and procedures.
  • Make and confirm guest reservations.
  • Answer phone professionally and cordially.
  • Assist guests with special requests including room placement when possible.
  • Share hotel amenities and special features with guests.
  • Process all payments types e.g. charges, cash, checks, debit or credit cards.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Department to track room readiness and communicate guest concerns if necessary.
  • Ensure that all complaints regarding service and/or accommodations are investigated and resolved in a friendly and respectful manner.
  • Assist in completing required Front office reports.
  • Keep General Manager informed of any guest issues or concerns.
  • Report suspicious activity to General Manager and law enforcement when deemed necessary.
