Paddletail-Waterfront-Lodge is seeking a Maintenance Associate to assist in planning and coordinating all hotel maintenance activities. You will help keep the facility clean, safe, and well-maintained, responding quickly to repairs, and supporting both housekeeping and management as needed.

Responsibilities include handling emergency repairs, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring safety compliance while maintaining a respectful and professional guest experience.

  • Math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with units of money, weight, and distance.
  • Reasoning: apply common sense to follow detailed or simple instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and coordinating maintenance duties to keep the hotel clean, safe, and attractive.
  • Lead emergency repairs within the maintenance tech’s capabilities.
  • Assist with interior and exterior improvements including painting, staining, drywall repairs, and minor building repairs.
  • Assist housekeeping with moving furniture and guest relocation as needed by the General Manager.
  • Provide hands-on repairs to support maintenance activities and safety measures.
  • Coordinate contracted services and monitor schedules to ensure quality and timeliness.

Summary: Responsible for demonstrating and promoting SRHM’s core value of the golden rule by treating guests, vendors, and employees in the same way we would like to be treated. With minimal supervision and guidance from the Maintenance Director is responsible and accountable in assisting in the planning and coordination of all functions of the maintenance department to ensure an efficiently run hotel for environmental services by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1. Assists in monitoring, coordinating or completing maintenance duties to ensure the hotel is always in a clean, orderly, safe and attractive condition.*2. Reacts and takes the lead in emergency repairs of any kind regarding equipment breakdown, seeks methods for completing repairs and accomplishes same within maintenance tech’s technical capabilities.*3. Assists and follows through on aesthetic improvement plans both inside and outside the building that include but are not limited to painting, including touch-up painting, staining woodwork, drywall repairs and minor building repairs.*4. Assists housekeeping with moving furniture in rooms, as well as relocating guests when appropriate as deemed necessary by the General Manager.*5. Provides hands-on repairs on an as-needed basis to ensure a pro-active approach to all maintenance activities.*6. Responsible for always wearing clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy.*7. Coordinates contracted services and monitors all maintenance functions to ensure adherence to schedule and quality are in the best interest of the hotel.*8. Performs daily walk-arounds both inside and outside of the hotel to monitor and schedule timely repairs and touch-ups in all areas that need attention.*9. Responsible for always responding promptly and courteously to guest, vendor and associate requests for assistance.*10. Responsible for speaking and interacting with guests; consistently demonstrating empathy, kindness, compassion and respect.*11. Maintains a safe and secure working environment, free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to guests, vendors, visitors and associates.*12. Responsible for always practicing good body mechanics and safe working habits.*13. Observes, repairs, and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.*14. Knows, understands, and follows established policy and procedures in emergency situations.*15. Responsible for being considered essential personnel during emergencies (during and after-hours) and/or inclement weather and is required to report or remain at hotel until released by supervisor.*16. Responsible for always demonstrating a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies and procedures.*17. Complies with attendance and call off policy.*18. Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings.*19. Responsible for willingly taking on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties.20. Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested by General Manager / Supervisor.*Essential FunctionsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
