Job summary

Palisociety Westwood Village is seeking a Hotel Manager to drive daily operations for Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, Valet, and Overnight teams. Balance hands-on leadership with strong financial oversight to maintain safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction around the clock.

You will manage schedules, lead the Safety Committee, and ensure adherence to brand SOPs while supporting Palisociety’s growth and ongoing expansion of hotels and restaurants nationwide.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a senior leadership role within hospitality or hotels.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving under pressure.
• Proficiency with Opera or similar property management systems.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, Valet and Overnight Ops as a single team.
• Develop and manage weekly department schedules to hit budget.
• Lead Safety Committee and ensure compliance with safety requirements and SOPs.
• Own guest experience: address complaints, drive service recovery and VIP attention.
• Review daily room and property inspections with Housekeeping and Engineering.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and timely work orders and emergencies.

ABOUT PALIHOTEL WESTWOOD VILLAGE:

A 55-room boutique hotel, nestled in Westwood Village, one of the most recognized university towns in the country. The hotel embodies a mix of mid-century modern with Parisian eclecticism, all set in a delightful historic building that was once home to Westwood Village's first-ever hotel, dating back to 1939.

POSITION PROFILE:

The Hotel Manager is the driving force behind Palihotel Westwood Village — overseeing Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, Valet, and Overnight Operations as one cohesive team. You'll balance hands-on execution with financial oversight, keeping the property safe, guest-ready, and running at the standard our guests expect around the clock.

THE TASK AT HAND:

• Maintain effective training programs across Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering, ensuring every team member is highly productive.
• Create and monitor department schedules weekly to meet budget and hold regular team meetings across all departments.
• Lead the property Safety Committee and ensure full compliance with all safety requirements and brand SOPs.
• Own the guest experience — respond to complaints, ensure service recovery, VIP attention, and encourage positive online reviews.
• Oversee daily room and property inspections, partnering with Housekeeping and Engineering on linen quality, par levels, and maintenance issues.
• Ensure the Engineering team completes preventative maintenance, work orders, and emergency response in a timely manner.
• Manage wages, controllable expenses, inventories, and departmental financial performance against budget.
• Lead by example, fostering an open, respectful team culture and championing the brand.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Required

• 2 years of senior leadership experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Clear communicator with sound judgment, able to remain calm and resolve problems under pressure.
• Proficiency in Opera or similar property management systems.
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.

Physical

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
