Job summary

Schahet Hotels is seeking a proactive Preventative Maintenance Helper for our Indianapolis property. You will assist with routine repairs in guestrooms and public areas, perform scheduled preventive maintenance, and respond to requests promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, safety-conscious, and able to work weekends in a fast-paced hotel environment. Training will be provided where needed, with opportunities for growth within the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or facilities is helpful but not required.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Ability to use basic tools and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs in guest rooms and public areas (light plumbing, painting, electrical).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to keep equipment and systems running smoothly.
• Respond to guest and team member maintenance requests quickly and professionally.
• Keep back-of-house areas clean and safe (maintenance shop, boiler room, storage).
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor and General Manager to keep the property in top shape.
