Job summary

YOTEL in Washington, DC is seeking a General Maintenance Technician responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment, guest rooms, gym facilities, and related systems. You will perform scheduled maintenance and document work orders to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, lighting installations, and minor carpentry.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience preferred in hospitality settings.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related hotel systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend to guest requests and refer issues when needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (laundry, boiler, HVAC, electrical) with minimal downtime.
• Maintain and repair structural aspects, lighting, and fixtures; manage shop and parts inventory.
• Inspect machinery, diagnose issues, and coordinate with supervisors for repairs.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with facility safety.
• Collaborate with Reception and Housekeeping to ensure guest satisfaction.
