Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to uphold the Courtyard by Marriott Baltimore McHenry Row property. You will perform electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and painting tasks, respond to work orders, and ensure safety and code compliance throughout guest areas and back-of-house spaces.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years’ experience in commercial maintenance. A trade license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; college degree or vocational training a plus.
• Any building trade license/certificate from the state of hotel’s operation preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a commercial carpenter, commercial electrician, commercial maintenance, commercial plumber, or plant operations.
• Basic working knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, plumbing and refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general condition of the property across electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and painting work.
• Complete maintenance request work orders from all departments promptly.
• Participate in the preventive maintenance program for building equipment and rooms.
• Complete other special projects as assigned.
