A Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This is a PM shift position working afternoons to evenings.

What will I be doing?

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the hotel. Your tasks will include:

• Maintaining the functionality and safety of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Responding promptly and courteously to guest calls and work orders to repair machinery and equipment.
• Performing repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC, and masonry.
• Conducting inspections for preventive maintenance.
• Documenting repairs and reporting items needing further attention.

Supportive Functions

Additional duties may include:

• Managing inventory of supplies.
• Reporting major repairs and out-of-service rooms.
• Participating in special projects like waterproofing, shop cleanup, and hazardous materials labeling.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The candidate must have:

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry trades.
• Mechanical aptitude for hotel equipment.
• Basic proficiency with hand and power tools.
• English communication and basic math skills.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience in maintenance trades is preferred.
