Job summary

InTown Suites Houston is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to oversee daily upkeep of the hotel property and equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to service requests. This role is on-call for emergencies and includes periodic duties as Property Attendant.

You will repair rooms and building components, maintain grounds and hallways, and protect guest safety by following established procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, speak, write and understand English.
• Ability to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations.
• Working knowledge of air conditioning systems and equipment, including installation, maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components, electrical supplies and equipment and the proper application.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify needs and parts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that grounds are clean and free of clutter by picking up trash and debris.
• Ensure the building is properly maintained by cleaning siding and walkways.
• Ensure that vacant rooms are in good repair, including walls, appliances, furniture, carpet, and cabinets.
• Conduct maintenance room punch including drywall repairs, paint, general repairs, and shampoo carpets.
• Perform preventive maintenance of guest rooms on a scheduled basis.
• Respond to all emergency calls in a timely manner.
• Notify Supervisor of safety or security violations and guest concerns.
• Reconcile daily paperwork with supervisor prior to end of shift.
