Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Tech to ensure hotel physical plant quality and safety. The role covers building, equipment, and grounds maintenance across hotel facilities.

Responsibilities include performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring energy efficiency while adhering to Sonesta's service standards and safety protocols. The ideal candidate has vocational training and hands-on maintenance experience, with strong English and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction.
• Background in extended stay or apartment building maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Reading and writing abilities are required to receive instructions and read manuals including safety information.
• Mathematical skills including budgeting, percentages, and variances.
• Problem solving, organizational and training abilities.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work varied shifts including mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Inform management of hazardous situations or threats to safety.
• Complete work orders for maintenance tasks and perform preventative maintenance.
• Monitor and repair HVAC, lighting, doors, and other systems for efficiency.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures and paint as needed.
• Maintain exterior areas, grounds, and pool/amenities.
• Secure inventory and assets and maintain a clean entrance area.
• Prepare equipment for the next day and ensure proper operation.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on building interiors/exteriors and equipment.
• Follow PM Works program and document inspections and repairs.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality service.
• Comply with health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
