Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold hotel facilities, systems, and equipment to the highest standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure safety, reliability, and comfort across guest rooms and public areas. This role requires physical stamina and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction.
• Experience in the extended stay industry or apartment building maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; other languages beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 75 pounds, and work mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs of hotel facilities, systems, and equipment to ensure quality and safety.
• Complete work orders such as HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and surface repairs.
• Monitor and service building systems for efficiency and safety; perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Refurbish and maintain furniture, fixtures, and interiors; manage energy usage and meters.
• Maintain exterior and interior areas for safety and appearance; coordinate with other departments.
