Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated maintenance associate to uphold safety and operate essential hotel systems. You will maintain pool and fitness areas, oversee grounds, and support preventive maintenance to ensure a clean and functional guest environment.

You will log maintenance issues, coordinate with the front desk and GM, stock supplies, replace lighting, and address safety hazards. The role requires independent work, reliability, and a commitment to hospitality standards across a busy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hospit ality experience preferred.
• AA degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial maintenance preferred.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance, including weed removal.
• Check the maintenance log in the front office and fix problems.
• Work on preventive maintenance duties.
• Report any problem that cannot be easily fixed to the manager on duty for professional help.
• Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction to necessary departments and GM.
• Keep the storage area clean everyday and lock all storage areas before clocking out.
• Ensure there are enough housekeeping supplies on each floor and sufficient linens & supplies in stock.
• Verify that exterior lights are working properly.
• Report and fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Ensure stock room has inventory to last at least two weeks and notify GM if any supply needs to be ordered.
• Follow and fill out the guest room inspection checklist on each room.
• Clean equipment, the filters on HVAC units, and windows and doors.
• Other duties as assigned.
