Job summary

Atma Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Tech to uphold hotel property and equipment standards and ensure guest rooms meet brand expectations. You will greet guests professionally and respond to maintenance requests promptly while coordinating with front desk for room status.

The role requires basic trade knowledge, ability to handle lifting and multitask in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year maintenance experience in similar size property.
• Basic painting skills.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to push, pull, lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to clearly communicate in basic English.
• Willing to work flexible hours to include weekends, holidays and late nights.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests in a welcoming and professional manner.
• Respond to all maintenance calls/requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely and professional manner.
• Check Hotel Service Pro for any scheduled or preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate with the front office whenever it is necessary to place a room out of order.
• Check all public areas to include restrooms, elevators and meeting rooms for burned out light bulbs.
• Check all public areas and guest room corridors for areas which require touch up or repaint.
• Thorough knowledge of the proper use of all maintenance equipment.
• Use proper safety equipment, per safety code/regulations, when utilizing maintenance equipment.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned projects.
• Keep all storage areas and maintenance office neat, clean and orderly at all times.
• Ensure that maintenance cart is neat, clean and orderly at all times.
• Verify that entry doors are functioning properly.
• Verify that elevators are functioning properly.
• Check parking lot lighting for outages and report to Chief Engineer.
• Check exterior of building and pool area for maintenance issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance as directed by the Chief Engineer.
• Follow preventative maintenance checklist when assigned tasks.
• Report safety hazards to the Chief Engineer.
• Check pool chemicals daily or as instructed by management.
• Complete any special projects as directed by management.
