Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician for Hilton Madison Monona Terrace in Madison, WI. The role supports daily hotel operations through preventative maintenance and timely repairs to keep rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas safe and guest-ready.

You will work with the engineering team to inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems while maintaining logs and documentation. Weekend availability is preferred to cover hotel needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–4 years of general maintenance or repair experience preferred.
• Ability to read basic drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical spaces.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Identify potential maintenance issues and recommend proactive solutions.
• Complete minor repairs such as drywall, painting, fixtures, doors, locks, and furniture.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection documentation.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures and support overall engineering operations.
