Ivy Hospitality in Chillicothe, OH, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure efficient hotel operations by maintaining facilities, performing repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance programs. The role collaborates with several departments to uphold quality and service excellence for guests.

The position requires hands-on maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, with a focus on safety and guest satisfaction. Weekend and on-call flexibility is needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of general maintenance or facilities management experience; hotel experience is a plus.
• Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Flexibility including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts; drug test and MVR may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance across public areas, guest rooms, meeting spaces, back-of-house facilities, and grounds.
• Perform repairs on guest room amenities such as televisions, phones, fixtures, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs and daily equipment checks.
• Repair interiors including painting, furniture fixes, and carpet or tile repairs.
• Troubleshoot kitchen, laundry, and housekeeping equipment as needed.
• Maintain exteriors, landscaping, and parking areas to reflect a professional appearance.
• Assist with pool operations and safety compliance (CPO certification preferred).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize guest downtime and ensure safety systems are functional.
• Document maintenance activities and keep tools/work areas organized.
• Participate in safety and fire emergency programs and daily hotel operations meetings.
