Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Tracy, CA is seeking an Engineer, Level 1 for the Hampton Inn Tracy. The role ensures the property is maintained in peak condition with minimal guest disruption.

You will perform repairs on HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and pool/spa maintenance, and keep preventive maintenance records. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of hotel maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of progressive hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Trade school/college coursework in related field helpful.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Effective communication with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Take and record equipment readings and test cooling towers.
• Replace TVs, light switches, outlets, fixtures, and pumps.
• Perform plumbing repairs and drainage maintenance.
• Understand blueprints and wiring diagrams for repairs.
• Repair and maintain pools and spas.
• Repair walls, sheet rock, and wall coverings.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
• Maintain maintenance records and comply with codes.
• Attend required meetings and trainings and ensure guest comfort.
