Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to care for the hotel building and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry. This role may include custodial tasks while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.

You will identify issues, process work orders, perform preventive maintenance, keep logs, and work with hotel staff across departments. Strong English, organization, and teamwork are essential, with flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to identify maintenance and repair issues and initiate work orders.
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, painting, electrical and carpentry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify maintenance and repair issues and initiate work orders.
• Report and follow up on maintenance deficiencies.
• Complete work orders and necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain logs.
• Resolves guest problems and handles requests per hotel standards.
• Complete duty rounds checklists and address noted problems.
• Use EMS and Life Safety Systems; cross-train across department.
• Maintain effective communication with operations across areas.
