Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Preventive Technician to perform scheduled preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas. You will inspect, repair, and maintain facilities in line with brand standards and safety guidelines.

The role requires basic electrical skills, strong teamwork, and reliable English communication. Flexible shifts may be involved to support hotel operations across Birmingham properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training preferred.
• Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair guest rooms in accordance with brand standards and property guidelines.
• Conduct minor repairs such as light bulb changes, tightening fixtures, and patching walls.
• Clean and maintain surfaces including tubs, showers, floors, mirrors, and windows.
• Respond promptly to guest and department maintenance requests.
• Complete work orders efficiently and accurately.
• Report serious maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unusual findings immediately to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with other departments to support smooth hotel operations.
