Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a versatile maintenance technician to support hotel operations by maintaining and repairing equipment across guest rooms and public areas. The role requires hands-on work, safety focus, and a willingness to perform preventive maintenance.

You will handle tasks from lighting to plumbing, HVAC, and minor carpentry, respond to alarms, and work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Licensure in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR required.
• Ability to repetitively lift and carry up to 65 pounds and up to 140 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, crawl, twist and grip items; occasional ladder climbing.
• Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventive maintenance for guest rooms (vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs, etc.).
• Perform preventive maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and spa.
