Job summary

Westmont Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a full-time, hourly role in Houston, TX. The incumbent will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and pool operations, while delivering courteous guest service.

The role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, adherence to safety, and the ability to follow written instructions. English communication and a flexible, team-oriented attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or similar facility maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) and other hotel equipment.
• Coordinates and performs preventative maintenance tasks on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Cleans and maintains the hotel pool, adjusts chemicals, and logs maintenance actions.
• Assists other Engineering personnel as needed.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
