Job summary

Aloft Houston By the Galleria is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, pool, boiler, and guest room systems. You will interact with guests using strong communication and guest service skills.

You will maintain records of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program and the Request Program, respond to room calls as needed, and support other engineering staff to ensure safe, efficient hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall and basic maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Good English communication with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical or electrical systems throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on hotel equipment on a schedule.
• Maintains records of preventative maintenance and requests.
• Assists other engineering personnel as needed.
• Responds to guest room calls and interactions with guests.
