Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC seeks a Maintenance Tech for Hotel Indigo in Orange Beach, AL. Respond to engineering service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and repair hotel equipment including HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and more. Maintain safe, efficient hotel operations and assist with emergencies.

Two years of building maintenance experience and a high school diploma are required. Strong mechanical skills and ability to communicate with staff and guests are essential for this

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.
• Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat water to maintain chemical levels.
• Operate equipment; monitor hot/cold-water systems and electrical switchgear for proper operation.
• Maintain housekeeping of engineering spaces and assist with daily operations.
• Make rounds to ensure systems are functioning; complete maintenance requests and log readings.
• Respond to emergencies (fire alarms, power failures) and notify authorities as needed.
• Assist with boiler/chiller operation and climate control; support parking lot and snow removal as needed.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
