Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners in Alabama is seeking a hotel maintenance technician to respond to service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and keep equipment and facilities in safe, reliable condition.

You will service HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, kitchen and guest room systems, take water samples, and handle emergencies with safety and guest comfort as priorities. Two years of building maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.
• Ability to service HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry repairs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle maintenance requests in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat water as needed.
• Operate equipment and monitor domestic hot/cold water systems and electrical switch gear.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of engineering spaces and daily operations.
• Advance rounds of the property to ensure systems work properly.
• Complete maintenance requests, record readings, and notify next shift of issues.
• Respond to emergencies (fire alarms, threats, power failures) and notify authorities.
