Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC is hiring a Maintenance Tech for the second shift at Hotel Indigo in Orange Beach, AL. You will respond to service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and repair hotel equipment across multiple systems to ensure guest comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or trade school, plus two years in building maintenance. You will handle water treatment duties, operate boilers/chillers, and participate in emergency responses and daily property rounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school completed.
• Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry and renovation work.
• Two years of prior experience in building maintenance and construction.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests, perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms.
• Take water samples of boiler, loop and cooling tower systems and treat water to maintain chemical levels.
• Operate equipment and monitor domestic hot/cold water systems and electrical switch gears.
• Keep engineering spaces clean and perform daily maintenance tasks, and patrol property for issues.
• Complete maintenance requests, record readings, and notify next shift; handle emergencies and alarms.
• Assist with boiler/chiller operation and temperature control; help with parking lot maintenance and snow removal.
• Undertake special projects as assigned.

Ensure a safe, resourceful, and well-maintained hotel environment.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES*** Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.* Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms.* Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain predetermined levels of chemical concentration.* Operate various equipment; maintain the domestic hot and cold-water systems and monitor various electrical switch gears to ensure proper operation.* Maintain the cleanliness and general maintenance duties in the engineering spaces as well as other assigned daily operations.* Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order.* Complete maintenance requests, take equipment and meter readings, and maintain log to notify the next shift.* Respond to all emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities.* Handle operation of the boiler and chiller and maintaining temperatures throughout the building.* Assist with maintenance of parking lot and snow removal as needed.* Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*** High school diploma or equivalent trade school, special courses in building maintenance and construction.* Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work.* Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.* Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**Lift/Push/Pull/Carry - up to 50 -75 plus lbs. supplies, equipment and machinery. Bending - required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift. Kneeling- required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift.
