Job summary

J&P Hospitality Management, LLC on-site in Salt Lake City is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the property safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and staff.

You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping, respond to service requests, and support safety protocols with attention to detail and timely work.

Flexibility for after-hours coverage and overtime is expected, and lifting up to 50-100 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance or facilities experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, and general construction.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools safely (e.g., hammers, drills, saws, meters, wrenches).
• Ability to diagnose issues and reference manuals, schematics, or blueprints when needed.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Employment is subject to E-Verify verification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs to guest rooms, common areas, and facility systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance problems and complete repairs using hand tools, power tools, or testing equipment.
• Inspect and maintain PTAC units, appliances, lighting, locks, and basic fixtures.
• Complete service requests and report unresolved issues to the General Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance workspaces and storage areas.
• Perform exterior maintenance including siding, roof patches, concrete repair, landscape cleanup, and trash removal.
