Job summary

Chano And Sons is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Moab, UT to perform routine maintenance for hotel facilities. The role requires hands-on skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance to keep buildings and systems safe and efficient.

A dependable, detail-oriented, guest-service minded individual is preferred. Responsibilities include inspections, responding to maintenance requests, repairing or replacing fixtures, and maintaining safety and energy conservation

Qualifications

• Hands-on, problem-solving approach.
• Basic knowledge in building maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, lighting).
• Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance issues.
• Repair or replace fixtures, hardware, furniture, appliances, or equipment as needed.
• Maintain records of work performed and report major maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Ensure tools and supplies are properly stocked and secured.
• Assist with upkeep of exterior areas such as parking lots, walkways, landscaping, and pool (if applicable).
• Help set up or break down equipment for meetings, banquets, or events as needed.
• Monitor and maintain safety systems such as fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency exits.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols, and use PPE as required.
• Assist in energy and water conservation efforts by reporting leaks, inefficient lighting, etc.
• Work collaboratively with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
