Job summary

Chano And Sons in Springdale, Utah is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs in hotel facilities, ensuring safety and efficiency of buildings, equipment and systems.

You will inspect systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), respond to service requests, repair fixtures, maintain records, and assist with events and landscaping as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with hourly pay between $20 and $22.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, lighting).
• Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance issues.
• Repair or replace fixtures, hardware, furniture, appliances, or equipment as needed.
• Maintain records of work performed and report major maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Ensure tools and supplies are properly stocked and secured.
• Assist with upkeep of exterior areas such as parking lots, walkways, landscaping, and pool (if applicable).
• Help set up or break down equipment for meetings, banquets, or events as needed.
• Monitor and maintain safety systems such as fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency exits.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols, and use PPE as required.
• Assist in energy and water conservation efforts by reporting leaks, inefficient lighting, etc.
• Work collaboratively with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
