Job summary

OTH Hotels Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in peak condition. You will perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and quick-response fixes to minimize downtime and guest disruption.

You will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a service-minded approach to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities across the property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3+ years of maintenance, repair, or general handyman experience required, preferably in a hospitality or commercial environment.
• Travel required: No travel; position is property-based.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry.
• Replace or repair fixtures, fittings, and basic equipment as needed.
• Assist in ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Inspect guest rooms and facilities to identify maintenance issues early.
• Report major issues or system failures to supervisors promptly.
• Support upkeep of accurate maintenance records as required.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests.
• Complete repairs efficiently while minimizing guest disruption.
• Maintain a courteous and service-oriented approach when interacting with guests.
• Support a high standard of room and facility readiness.
• Assist in maintaining HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Perform minor installations, adjustments, and repairs of hotel equipment.
• Ensure systems are functioning safely and properly at all times.
• Support senior maintenance staff with more complex repairs as needed.
• Follow all hotel safety policies and procedures.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions or hazards immediately.
• Use tools and equipment safely and maintain a clean work environment.
• Support compliance with building and operational safety standards.
• Properly use, maintain, and store tools and equipment.
• Assist in tracking maintenance supplies and reporting shortages.
• Support organization and cleanliness of maintenance storage areas.
• Ensure responsible use of materials and resources.
• Work closely with maintenance leadership and team members to complete tasks.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and front office to support guest needs.
• Communicate issues clearly and elevate concerns appropriately.
