Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support the hotel engineering team in Austin. You will help maintain the property's appearance, functionality, and safety to meet White Lodging, Brand, and Guest standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing engineering operations with the Chief Engineer, cleaning engineering areas, and ensuring fixtures and lights operate correctly. The role requires hands-on maintenance skills and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance experience is required.
• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance, lock out tag out procedures, and a desire to continue developing in a trade area such as electrical or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel's maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, maintaining a neat and efficient work area.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while communicating with supervisors about tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
