Job summary

EconoLodge of Middlesboro is looking for a Maintenance Technician to help keep the hotel secure, safe and functional for guests. You will perform general maintenance, repair appliances and electrical equipment, and maintain paint and flooring throughout the property.

The ideal candidate has maintenance experience with knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical systems and other general repairs. Must be able to work under time constraints and physically perform maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of general building maintenance and repair experience recommended.
• Completion of high school diploma or related vocational training preferred.
• Familiarity with computers and or tablets.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor repairs such as ceiling tile replacement, lighting, painting, and fixtures.
• Perform preventative maintenance as detailed in the hotel calendar.
• Ensure equipment is ready for the next day’s work and operates efficiently.
• Monitor and repair HVAC, electrical systems, doors, lighting, and televisions as needed.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms and public areas.
