Job summary

Hampton Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach Oceanfront in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician with at least 2 years in maintenance, facilities or engineering. You will receive daily assignments, follow safety protocols, and work with hotel staff across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities or engineering.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments from Director of Engineer and review priorities and special projects.
• Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
• Maintain time lines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
• Check work orders and maintenance report for any problems.
• Make rounds checking problem areas and note touch-up needs or safety concerns.
• Maintain tools and supplies and ensure proper storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Follow hotel safety requirements for chemicals (OSHA).
• Ensure security of assigned keys and beepers.
• Complete room preventive maintenance for assigned guest rooms.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance and service requests.
• Follow all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
• Complete paperwork and follow-up actions as needed.
• Follow safety and security procedures and cooperate with team.
