Hotel Investment Services, Inc. seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician for the Lake View Hotel on Mackinac Island.

You will perform routine preventative maintenance, repair guest rooms, and support the Chief Engineer to keep our property safe and inviting for guests and teams. This seasonal role runs May through October with a busy island environment, requiring practical skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and basic HVAC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and trade school experience.
• 1–3 years maintenance experience in hotels or facilities.
• Capable of operating hand and power tools; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel facilities to meet Lake View Hotel standards.
• Assist Chief Engineer and supervise as needed.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks and basic repairs in guest rooms and public areas.
• Monitor fire alarm/life safety systems and report issues.
• Document work, track materials, and keep logs.
• Ensure safety and energy conservation.
