Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts in Pasadena is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold building systems safety and energy efficiency for a busy hotel. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine upkeep across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry trades.

The ideal candidate has vocational training or certification and hotel experience, can lift up to 50 lbs, and communicates clearly with guests and team members. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Capable of lifting 25–50 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain quality.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks (e.g., room care).
• Inspect electrical systems and perform minor repairs and replacements.
• Repair or service hotel equipment including boilers, HVAC, plumbing and appliances.
• Maintain pool, exterior areas, and curb appeal; refurbish furniture as needed.
• Move furniture and fixtures; respond courteously to guest questions and requests.
