Job summary

SpringHill Suites, a property of Ascent Hospitality, is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to join our Engineering Team in Birmingham, AL. This role supports daily operations and helps maintain a safe, comfortable guest environment.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, repairs, responding to requests, assisting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building needs, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, and helping with projects while upholding safety and Marriott brand

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest needs.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist the Engineering team with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and equipment problems to the Engineering leadership team.
• Assist with property improvement projects, repairs, inspections, and renovations as needed.
• Support outside vendors and contractors while working on hotel property.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service.
• Help ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning property that exceeds guest expectations.

Pay Range: Starting at $17.00 per hour (Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and overall experience)
