The Elyton Hotel, part of Ascent Hospitality, is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Maintenance Supervisor to support the daily operations of our Engineering Department.
This position reports directly to the Chief Engineer and helps lead the Engineering team in maintaining guest rooms, public areas, equipment, building systems, and the overall physical condition of the hotel.

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will help lead the Engineering team while working hands‑on to ensure the hotel remains safe, efficient, attractive, and operational. You will play an important role in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, team coordination, work orders, and responding to guest and operational needs.
What You Will Do:
- Assist the Chief Engineer with the daily operation of the Engineering Department.
- Supervise, coordinate, and support Maintenance Workers and Engineering team members.
- Assign, prioritize, and follow up on maintenance work orders and service requests.
- Perform and oversee preventive maintenance throughout guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
- Respond promptly to guest room and operational maintenance concerns.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance issues before they impact the guest experience.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with maintaining hotel equipment, machinery, building systems, and safety equipment.
- Assist with vendor coordination, contractor access, inspections, and maintenance‑related projects.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment issues.
- Train and mentor Engineering team members on proper maintenance procedures, safety practices, and guest service expectations.
- Assist with inventory management and maintaining adequate supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Support emergency response procedures and after‑hours maintenance situations when required.
- Ensure Engineering areas, tools, equipment, and workspaces remain clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow hotel policies, brand standards, OSHA requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
- Promote a professional, team‑oriented environment focused on property standards and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory, lead, or senior maintenance experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general building systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate Engineering team members.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on‑call situations when required.
